The “Design Brilliance Awards” are given annually to recognize, encourage & promote excellence in consumer product design. The judging process includes shortlisting nominations which are then evaluated by an independent, esteemed jury over 2-3 days of deliberations. All entries are judged on parameters such as the level of customization of the product for the Indian market, materials used, cost advantage, safety and comfort, aesthetic appeal, ease of use, technical superiority, etc.

Mumbai, 8th April, 2008: 150 years ago, Jhansi Rani Laxmibai, at the young age of 22, undertook a 24 hour, 100 mile horseback ride from Jhansi to Kalpi, in a daring escape from the British forces who had laid siege to Jhansi. Rani Laxmibai’s courage has earned her an unforgettable place in India’s history, serving as inspiration to freedom fighters. Her legacy of valour continues to inspire India’s young women to believe in themselves and strive for achievement.

To commemorate the 150th anniversary of her daring escape, a group of 36 women riders re-enacted her 100 mile journey from Jhansi to Kalpi,- this time, on scooters which is now the vehicle preferred by the modern & independent new woman. The rally was organized by Kinetic Motor Company, and was completed on the latest 125cc sensational scooter for women – the Kinetic SYM Flyte. All participants – a mix of women from age 18 to 53 - completed the 100 mile ride, through rough roads and under a hot sun, successfully; and termed the rally as “a brilliant experience of a lifetime. ”

The rally then departed for Jhansi and the unique scooter rally will commence on 4th April.

New Delhi, October 15th 2007: The much-awaited scooter “Flyte”, from the Kinetic-SYM association, was launched in Delhi today. Flyte is the first launch from the collaboration between India’s pioneering scooter manufacturer Kinetic Motor and Taiwan’s $1.1 billion automotive giant SYM.

The Kinetic SYM Flyte is targeted at women, the fastest growing two-wheeler buyer segment today. Accordingly, the Flyte campaign is calibrated to ‘Ride The Change’, and marketing communication will target the modern, confident and ambitious women, with actress Bipasha Basu as the brand ambassador.

The 125cc Flyte is based on the SYM X’pro, SYM’s current international bestseller across 62 countries. Flyte takes the gearless scooter proposition significantly forward on every scootering parameter – design, styling, technology, ride, engine smoothness, handling, fit-finish, and quality that has been benchmarked to international standards. Flyte brings several first-time convenience features to this segment such as: easy front-fueling with a pop up lid, 4-in-1 anti-theft magnetic key, convenient mobile chargepoint, crash resistant mirrors and huge (22 litres, 2 level) brightly lit underseat storage. Flyte also boasts of a high technology quotient with a highly refined engine, secondary air injection technology, imported front telescopic suspension, and 9 AH battery for instant start.

This is very useful and convenient as you do not have to get up from your scooter to fill fuel.
